Hi, I don't think people are discouraged from doing weddings - the are discouraged from doing them without experience. There is a right way to go about shooting weddings (hooking up with a pro, learning the craft gradually), and a wrong way (I just got a new rebel and kit lens this week and I've been asked to shoot a wedding). A lot of people think that having the gear makes one a capable photographer. They need to learn that camera gear is just tools and it won't make you a capable photographer any more than having a good mechanics set of tools will give you the ability to rebuild an engine. Yes, tools are important, but they are useless without knowledge and experience. For More Details Brand Examples
